On Friday December 20th family, friends and emergency responders from across Colorado gathered at Denver First Church to honor the life of Assistant Chief Troy Jackson. This heartbreaking day was made easier by the incredible support that the Jackson family and South Metro Fire Rescue received from our community and partner agencies. Chief Jackson will forever be remembered for the changes to firefighter health and safety he pioneered at South Metro. Because of Chief Jackson, many of our members will be able to have longer, healthier careers serving our communities.
Flags will continue to fly at half-staff at South Metro facilities and personnel will wear shrouded badges for 30 days following Chief Jackson's passing, until January 15, 2020.
